GUIDELINES FOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR

 COURSE & RELATED INSTRUCTION MATERIALS  :

 
ALL COURSES OR SEMINARS MUST HAVE PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE JOINT APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING COUNCIL.

COURSE PRE-APPROVAL APPLICATIONS MUST BE FILLED OUT TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE BY MEMBER AND APPROVED BY THE J.A.T.C. BOARD BEFORE ANY COURSE WILL BE PAID FOR.

The J.A.T.C. will reimburse as per the following formula:

RELATED INSTRUCTION MATERIALS                                 $ 0.00        --         $250.00     --  100%

COURSE RELATED TUITION & BOOKS                                $ 0.00        --          $500.00      -- 100%           

 REMAINING BALANCE                                                         $500.00       --        $1,500.00    -- 50%

  plus              $90.00       --         A day per diem will be given for

                                                                             out of town expenses  -- MAX 5 DAYS

 

**  The Maximum a member can receive per year is $1,500.00  **

 

1.     Receipt of canceled check. /and or proof of course payment and books

2.     Copy of completion certificate (ALL CERTIFICATES MUST BE TURNED IN         

       WITHIN 90 DAYS FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION DATE OF COURSE OR

       FUNDS WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR THAT COURSE).

3.     A 1099 will be sent at year end

(EACH INDIVIDUAL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THEIR       EXPENSE VOUCHERS FOR DOING THEIR TAX RETURN) 

4.   NO MILEAGE OR TRAVEL EXPENSE REIMBURSED           

The J.A.T.C. has allotted a certain amount of money per year for courses and seminars.  When this money is used up and/or unemployment is high and the J.A.T.C. is short of contributions, reimbursement guidelines may change.
